Membership levels and fees

NEW-Institution/Agency Affiliate - $1,080-$6,500 (based on number of employees): Organizations with a similar philosophy and intent as the Association. An organization may join as an Institutional/Agency Affiliate by paying dues as set by the Executive Board and approved by the Governing Council. In this class of membership. Designated institutional members shall enjoy all privileges of Association membership except for holding office and voting.

Agency with 1-50 employees $1080 per year (includes membership for 8 designated staff)
Agency with 51-250 employees $2700 per year (includes membership for 20 designated staff)
Agency with 251-499 employees $4300 per year (includes membership for 30 designated staff)
Agency with 500+ employees $6500 per year (includes membership for 50 designated staff) 

Benefits of Institution/Agency Affiliate Membership:

• 1/4 (3.75"x5") page advertisement in 4 issues of the Texas Public Health Journal (Deadlines for submission for Journal Advertising are March 1 for Spring Issue 2, June 1 for Summer Issue 3, September 1 for Fall Issue 4, December 1 for Winter Issue 1)
• Quarterly Newsletter updates
• Complimentary Job Announcements on TPHA website
• Listed as agency member on TPHA website
• Opportunities to contribute to public health policy/advocacy work
• Opportunities to participate in TPHA committees and sections
• Reduced annual education conference registration fee for staff TPHA Members

Health professionals, other career workers in the health field, persons who are interested in public health shall be eligible for election as members and affiliation with a Section according to procedures prescribed by the Governing Council.

Life Member (Active) - $1,125.00 (USD)

Subscription period: Lifetime
Active members in good standing for five (5) years or who have demonstrated a commitment to public health and are elected by three-fourths (3/4) vote of the Governing Council and supported by their payment of fifteen (15) times the annual dues at the time of election.

Retired Active/Associate - $50.00 (USD) per year

Active members, Associate members who have retired from full-time
employment.

Emerging Professional - $40.00 (USD) per year

 Members with less than five (5) years of public health experience and who graduated from a college or university or other recognized institution of learning within the past 3 years.

Student - $30.00 (USD) per year

Members who are enrolled in a college or university or other recognized institution of learning and participating in a curriculum related to the health professions.

Fellow Member - $85.00 (USD) per year (new members are not eligible for this category of membership)

The Texas Public Health Association Fellowship recognizes and cultivates public health professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to advancing the health of Texas communities. This prestigious designation honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of public health through sustained engagement with TPHA, impactful practice, and a dedication to mentorship and professional development.

Fellows serve as ambassadors of TPHA’s mission, helping to strengthen the Association's capacity through their expertise, advocacy, and continued service. Selection as a TPHA Fellow is both an honor and a responsibility.  Fellows are expected to inspire the next generation of leaders, foster collaboration across sectors, and share their learned wisdom to shape public health practice for the future.

By recognizing and supporting outstanding professionals, the TPHA Fellows ensure that public health in Texas remains resilient, visionary, and rooted in service.

To be eligible to become a TPHA Fellow, one must be an active or associate member who is in good standing for five (5) continuous years with a recognized professional status and qualified according to the procedures prescribed by the Governing Council.

Fellow Life Member - $1,275.00 (USD) (new members are not eligible for this category of membership)

Subscription period: Lifetime
Fellow members in good standing who are elected by three-fourths (3/4) vote of the Governing Council and supported by fifteen (15) times the fellow dues at the time of election.

Retired Fellow - $60.00 (USD) per year (new members are not eligible for this category of membership)

Fellows who have retired from full-time employment.

Library Subscription  - $80.00 (USD) per year

Sustaining Member - $250.00 (USD) per year

Individuals or corporations who support the scholarship fund. Sustaining members shall have all privileges of membership except to vote or to hold office.
