2026 Annual Education Conference

The Texas Public Health Association invites you to attend the 102nd TPHA Annual Education Conference in Houston, Texas May 19-21, 2026!  Various public health topics will be presented, including original research, program implementation and evaluation, community assessments, public health methods and theories, issues relating to health promotion and disease prevention, community health, public health nursing, outbreak investigation, disaster preparedness and response, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, mental health, maternal and child health, social determinants of health and social justice, population health, health administration, public health partnerships, public health accreditation, school health, vision health, oral health, aging, community health, public health urban planning, and health policies that affect individuals, groups, communities, and populations at any age or stage in life. 

The Texas Public Health Association (TPHA) is a non-profit, state-wide association of public health professionals dedicated to public health in Texas. TPHA was established in 1932, as a statewide community for discussion, sharing best practices, and networking among public health professionals in Texas. At TPHA, we truly value our members and the service they provide to our organization.  We have a long history of recognizing outstanding leadership and service within our membership, beginning with the very first TPHA Annual Meeting back in 1923, where the grand prize winner assumed the Presidency of the organization!  We don't do THAT anymore, but every year, at our awards ceremony, we honor members who have provided outstanding service not only specifically to this organization, but to the practice of public health in general.

We will be having a fun evening, complete with a full buffet, award presentations, photobooth, music and dancing!  This special event is included with your registration fee but if you decide to bring a guest to accompany you there will be an additional charge for your guest’s ticket.  The extra ticket is $95. 

Please plan to join us for this special evening of special recognition, dining and dancing!

Cancellation Policy:

All conference registration cancellations must be made in writing before May 1st. All cancellations are subject to a $75 administrative fee. Once cancellation correspondence has been received, participants will receive a confirmation of cancellation notice. If payment has been processed for the registration, a refund will be issued minus the $75 administrative fee. If payment has not been received, accounting will send an updated invoice for the $75 administrative fee. Texas Public Health Association (TPHA) reserves the right to retain or collect conference fees in full for those who fail to cancel prior to May 1st, or for those who fail to attend.

Substitutions:

If you register but are unable to attend, another representative of your agency may attend in your place. Please email notice of substitutions to txpha@aol.com by May 13th.

Exhibitor Registration Fees

  • Bronze Exhibitor $1250 (Includes Exhibit, two (2) staff attendance, logo in program)
  • Silver Exhibitor $2500 (Includes Exhibit, two(2) staff attendance, ½ page ad in conference program, company logo on TPHA website for one year)
  • Gold Exhibitor $3500 (Includes Exhibit, two (2) staff attendance, full page ad in conference program, company logo on TPHA website for one year)
  • Platinum Exhibitor $5000 (Includes Exhibit, four (4) staff attendance, full page ad in conference program, company logo on TPHA website for one year, ½ page ad in one issue of TPHA Journal)

All interested parties must submit an application to exhibit. Please note that submission does not guarantee acceptance. TPHA reserves the exclusive right to select vendors based on our criteria and event needs. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status. Upon acceptance, the exhibitor is required to pay the designated fees either via check or electronic fund transfer (ACH) no later than May1st. Please be aware that credit cards are NOT accepted for exhibitor fees. Exhibitors may cancel their registration before May 1st to receive a 50% refund of their registration fees. However, no refunds will be issued for cancellations made after May 1.

Student Annual Education Conference Stipends

A limited number of stipends are available for students to use toward attending the Annual Education Conference.  Applications will open in February
